As we all wrestle with COVID-19, I hope we can take good notes on how we structured our Rescue Coordination Centres to maintain the watch and protect our team members. As an example, JRCC Halifax moved from a floating schedule in which anyone could work with anyone to a four team approach. Teams remain working with each other during this time of social distancing to avoid cross contamination.
Coherent data (e.g. from similar exercises and training) is needed for analysis that may deliver reliable results on existing challenges in performance and capabilities, SOPs etc. Therefore a shared methodology to exercises and trainings of emergency preparedness and security actors is needed in order to gain larger amount of data in ANA region.
